When you sign up to be a part of an expert book collaboration, it can be an incredible
business building tool. Still, you should understand the key components of your return
on investment (ROI) and choose your projects wisely!
Here are 12 questions to ask when you’re looking at all of the amazing opportunities out
there to share your words with the world in a bigger way:

  1. Will my name be on the front cover?
  2. How will the book be promoted?
  3. Will there be writing coaching?
  4. Will I have the final say on editing?
  5. Do I maintain the rights to my work?
  6. Will my chapter be professionally edited?
  7. Will there be opportunities to be interviewed?
  8. Will there be launch and book promotion coaching?
  9. Will we build a launch team to help launch the book?
  10. Will I be able to sell copies of the book and make money?
  11. Will there be opportunities to network with other authors?
  12. Will there be a media kit to help me share about the book?
Be sure to vet the projects you’re considering! Don’t waste your money OR your time
with a collaborative book project that is only mediocre. Invest with an editor and/or
publisher that has a strong track record of success!

Remember, books are legacy work.
