It’s beginning to feel a lot like the holidays ~ Jack Frost is nipping at my toes!

Let’s face it… Holidays can be stressful. Fun, for sure, and stressful, too.
  1. Time gets crunched.
  2. Money gets tight.
  3. Emotional baggage often arrives along with your relatives coming to visit. Or they’re not coming and the angst associated with that is barely better than the alternative.
Advance planning helps!

  1. Plan time for self-care. Get a massage or other relaxation treatment. Buy some essential oils to wake up with, smell before sleep, or carry during the day.
  2. Shop early and get your presents now. Avoid the last-minute rush. Consider gift certificates for wellness spa treatments, one-of-a-kind jewelry and other surprises. Find something special in our directory (click here).
If you are in business, prepare now:
  1. Gift Certificates. Set up a template that can be easily customized for different holidays.
  2. Gift with purchase. Include an extra gift that can be used as a ‘stocking stuffer’ or for self-care.
  3. Special discounts. Offer a healthy discount to certain customers who are likely to appreciate it (single mothers, veterans, first responders, teachers, et al.).
Remember that holidays are really year-round. Some are celebrations and others are anniversaries of significant events. Here is a quick list of the big ones:
  1. New Year’s Day
  2. Valentine’s Day
  3. Mother’s Day
  4. Father’s Day
  5. 9/11
  6. Thanksgiving (Canada)
  7. Halloween
  8. Thanksgiving (US)
  9. December (all of them)!
  10. New Year’s Eve
Get ready now and enjoy later!
