Family owned & operated, established in 1998, Rizzieri Aveda School of Massage seeks to prepare its students for successful employment through diversified training, professional standards and practical business application. We believe that learning is best facilitated in a safe and nurturing environment and feel that the student’s individual journey of self-discovery is equally as important as their academic education. Accredited by COMTA (Commission of Massage Therapy Accreditation), and in line with Aveda's environmental mission, Rizzieri Aveda School of Massage relies on unique blends of the arts and the sciences to formulate its curriculum. We aim to reach the balance between eastern and western thoughts behind holistic wellness. We believe in client-centered care, instructing our students in techniques of relaxation, as well as clinical approaches to massage therapy. Our educators are experts in their craft and practitioners in the field. They are all State licensed and have multiple advanced specialty certifications; including: Oncology, Reiki, Medicinal Aromatherapy, Neuromuscular, and Nutrition. Our 600-hour curriculum incorporates both classroom and hands-on instruction, covering the following subject matter: Swedish Massage, Reflexology, Chair Massage, Maternity Massage, Aromatherapy, Spa Treatments, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Anatomy & Physiology, Kinesiology, Pathology, CPR, First Aid, Ethics, Business Management, Industry Laws and Regulation, State Licensing, Preparation for the MBLEX exam and participation in our Student Clinic/Spa.
Monday through Friday: 9a to 8p, Saturday: 9a to 4p, Sunday: 9am-4pm
