Now more than ever, consumers are seeking less toxic, and more natural ways to care for their health and environment.  This means more and more "green" and holistic businesses and practitioners are establishing themselves in your community to fill this growing need. 

There is an unlimited sea of both traditional business owners that want to be more conscious in their own practices and expand their customer base to include clients that share the same values AND business that are directly in the holistic care field.  They realize the huge benefit and value of belonging to a chamber of commerce and community of like-minded individuals.

 

How We Support You In Starting A Chapter

Our HCC Chapter Start-up kit includes:

  • Access to documents with established guidelines, policies, and procedures to give you a solid foundation for acquiring members and maintaining brand consistency.
  • Save time with access to a presidents-only membership area with a database of resources such as meeting topic ideas, agenda formats, email templates, branded social media images, and automatic email campaigns for easier communication with your members and potential members. (This will save you hundreds of hours of footwork and research on how to do it in the first quarter alone.)
  • Receive 4 on-boarding coaching calls with our Chapter Support Mentor (plus ongoing support opportunities after your 4 initial coaching calls).
  • Receive access to the private presidents-only Facebook group to collaborate with other chapter presidents and ask any general questions.
  • Receive a branded HCC email address for professional communication with community assets, members, and potential members.

 

 

 

Chapter President Qualifications

All potential chapter presidents must meet the following requirements:

  • You must have a well-established business.
  • You must be well-connected in your area and already have a network of contacts to draw from.
  • You must be willing to abide by Holistic Chamber protocols and procedures to maintain the professionalism of the Holistic Chamber brand.
  • You must have experience with a structured organization such as a conventional chamber of commerce, Toastmasters, Rotary Club, or similar.
  • You must be willing to participate in quarterly Zoom president-only meetings.
 
What attributes make for a great chapter president?
 
  • Someone with heart, soul, AND experience in business.
  • Is comfortable speaking in front of an audience.
  • Knows their leadership strengths and can effectively lead a team.
  • Can effectively foster a peer-to-peer relationship within the community.
  • Has balanced introvert / extrovert energy.
  • Takes pride in being consistent, dependable, and organized.
  • Is a people-person but not a people-pleaser.
  • Is warm, welcoming, and inviting.
 
President Responsibilities Each Month
 
  1. Hold at least one meeting per month.
  2. Update your chapter page and keep it current.
  3. Collect names and email addresses of visitors, guests, and from any other opt-in sources, and send them in so we can update our email database.
  4. Sign up members and maintain the recommended member average for your area.
 

How Do I Get Started?

In order to start a chapter, you do need to be a current member of the Holistic Chamber of Commerce.  You can apply for that here if needed.

Then, submit a Chapter Application Request below. And finally, sign up for a call with our Chapter Support Mentor, Lore Goldstein, by clicking here.

**Please note, there is a financial investment of $670 to start a chapter.  This is to provide you with the support you need to get your chapter up and running as quickly as possible. You then have multiple opportunities to receive a return on your investment (and much more) through our revenue sharing model.
